Why choose a custom baby or kids fitted sheet?
A child’s fitted sheet is not simply an adult sheet made smaller. The pocket depth, corner fit and surface tension all depend on the actual mattress. Custom sizing helps avoid relying on a ready-made sheet that is only “close enough”.
The fitted pocket is too shallow
The lower edge may not reach far enough underneath the mattress and can lift away from the corners.
The size name is not exact
Two mattresses described as “cot”, “crib”, “toddler” or “small bed” can still have different centimetre dimensions.
The mattress depth is unusual

How to measure a baby cot, crib or kids mattress
Remove the existing sheet and measure the mattress itself. Do not measure the outer cot frame, rely only on the model name, or copy an old fitted sheet that may have stretched or shrunk.
Length
Measure from one end of the mattress to the other along its longest point.
Width
Measure from side to side at the widest consistent point.
Depth
Measure vertically from the top surface to the bottom without compressing the mattress.

Include a thin, flat protector in the depth only when it will normally remain underneath the fitted sheet.
What if elastic makes the mattress curl or fold?
A traditional elastic fitted sheet works well for many cot and children’s mattresses. However, a very thin, soft or flexible mattress may bend when strong elastic pulls around its perimeter. In selected cases, a closely sized envelope-style cover may be worth discussing.
Traditional elastic fitted sheet
Usually the direct choice when the mattress is firm, keeps its shape and has enough depth for the fitted edge to wrap underneath.
Envelope-style cover
A pillowcase-like cover may be considered when an extremely thin mattress can be removed and inserted without relying on strong perimeter elastic.
Neither design is automatically suitable for every infant sleep product. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions and provide the mattress dimensions, firmness, flexibility and photographs where relevant.
Keep the sleep space firm, flat, well fitted and clear
Hong Kong’s Family Health Service advises using a firm, well-fitted mattress, leaving no gap between the mattress and cot, placing the baby on their back for sleep, and keeping soft objects and loose bedding out of the cot.

How are custom baby and kids fitted sheets priced?
Material
TENCEL™ Lyocell and cotton sateen have different per-metre prices.
Size and quantity
Mattress length, width, depth and the number of sheets affect estimated fabric usage.
Colour grouping
Items using the same material and colour may be combined before estimated fabric is rounded to whole metres.

Many custom orders require approximately two to three weeks after the measurements, material, colour, quantity and order details have been confirmed. Fabric availability and workshop scheduling may affect the actual timing.

Can I order custom baby cot sheets in Hong Kong?

Are baby cot sheets and crib sheets the same thing?
The terms are often used for similar products, but the mattress dimensions can differ. The custom order should therefore use the actual mattress length, width and depth rather than relying on either name.
Can I order only one fitted sheet?
Yes. Add only a fitted-sheet item through the traditional custom-bedding quotation tool. A duvet cover, pillowcase or complete set is not required.
What measurements are required?
Measure the actual mattress length, width and depth in centimetres. For an unusual mattress, also mention rounded corners, folding sections, flexibility and other relevant construction details.
Can you make sheets for IKEA or imported cot mattresses?
Yes, provided the actual mattress dimensions can be measured. Do not rely only on an IKEA product name, imported size label or nominal cot size.
What if the baby mattress is only 1 cm thick?
Provide the exact dimensions and explain whether the mattress is firm, flexible, removable or foldable. A traditional fitted sheet or envelope-style construction can then be discussed, subject to the sleep-product manufacturer’s instructions.
What is an envelope-style mattress cover?
It is a pillowcase-like rectangular cover into which the mattress is inserted. The opening or overlapping flap is normally positioned underneath. It may suit selected thin mattresses but still requires close sizing.
Can you make a sheet for a travel cot or play yard?
A quotation may be possible only where the manufacturer permits a separate fitted sheet and the approved mattress or sleep surface can be measured accurately. Do not add unapproved mattresses or padding.
Should a mattress protector be included in the depth?
Include a thin, flat protector only when it will normally remain underneath the fitted sheet. Do not include temporary accessories that will not be covered during normal use.
